Back from the Ether

So, this'll be short. I just went to Amoeba, even though I have no music, I had to buy some CD's.
Just for you all my theory of spheres:
I see 3 (possibly 4) spheres:
Work, Personal, Home...the possible 4th is Hobbies.
I don't like mixing more than two spheres ever. What does this mean? This means, I could live with my partner (mixing home and personal) but I wouldn't want to also work with my partner, and I'd like to have some hobbies that don't include my partner. Anyway this comes up because my new roommate is a person I go to school/work with. He recently invited me to a concert with some other folks from the department. My first reaction was, "NOOOOO!" But what I said was, "um...I don't think so...thanks anyway." If G- weren't going, I could go. (Thus mixing, work and personal only) But mixing home, work and personal is far too much for me.
It's sort of a busy day for me...though I haven't done the stuff I need to do. I really think my roommate and I need a second phone line, or at least DSL. He doesn't like call-waiting, and we can't both be on the internet at the same time. It's no good for two research-intensive grad students.
