Orgasm Euphamisms

So I was listening to my iTunes, and Heart's "All I Wanna Do" popped up. I was struck by their euphemism for orgasm. So I thought, since I have lots and lots of musically oriented folk on my friends list, I thought it might be fun to come up with a list of lyrics that are euphemisms for orgasms (not just for sex...but for orgasm). So dogpile on! And debates of euphemism validity are welcome!

Here's my contribution:

-He brought the woman in me, so many times, easily. -- Heart, "All I Wanna Do"
-There'll be 15 minutes of kissing, then you'll holler please don't stop. There'll be 15 minues of teasing, 15 minutes of pleasing, and 15 minutes of blowing my top. -- The Dominoes, "Sixty Minute Man"

Now I don't think this actually counts as euphemism..but...

-Relax don't do it, when you want to suck to it. Relax don't do it, when you want to come. --Frankie Goes to Hollywood, "Relax" -- speaking of relax, I think this is another euphemism for orgasm in that song: Shoot it in the right direction, Make making it your intention. Live those dreams, scheme those schemes. Go to hit me, hit me, hit me with those laser beams.

Okay, y'alls turn!

I've always thought of bells as being the classic euphemism for orgasm.

"My Doorbell" by The White Stripes
Oh, yeah
You don't seem to come around
Point your finger and make a sound
You don't seem to come around
Not since I said you knocked it down

"Ring my bell" - Anita Ward
I'm glad you're home
Now did you really miss me
I guess you did by the look in your eyes (look in your eyes, look in your eyes)
Well lay back and relax while I put away the dishes (put away the dishes)
Then you and me can rock-a-bye

Then, there is always "the light"... Although it might be a euphemism for spiritual wisdom, in context it seems to have a more earthy meaning.

"Take Me Home Tonight" - Eddie Money
Take me home tonight
I don't want to let you go till you see the light!

"The Sign" - Ace of Base
How can a person like you bring me joy
Under the pale moon
...
I saw the sign and it opened up my mind
And I am happy now
Living without you
Ive left you all alone
I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes
I saw the sign
No ones gonna drag you up
To get into the light where you belong

Not quite a euphemism...
"Blow Your Mind" - Nick Carter
I said baby why the new car?
She said Im the girlfriend of a star
Just let me handle this
And I will blow your mind

"the light" and "bells" --that seems really true!

I'm pretty sure there are all sort of waves/water euphemisms...but I can't think of any at the moment.

What occurs to me right quick is the Damned's "Orgasm Addict" (no euphimisms there), and the Squeeze's "Black Coffee in Bed" which is about the aftermath of orgasm ( I think.) Then there is the Classic Rock classic Led Zepplin's "The Lemon Song"--"She squeezed my lemon so hard, I nearly fell out of bed." Al Green's "Take Me to the River" uses baptism as a metaphor for the entire sexual experience. And to get to my old/new sweetie Elton John--well, I can find lovemaking allusions there, but nothing about orgasm per se. I'll have to look harder.

Speaking of Relax, when I was in the hospital in May, that was available for karaoke, and one person chose it. Man, that was *real* appropriate for the setting.

Starland Vocal Band, "Afternoon Delight"

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting
Sky rockets in flight
Afternoon delight [...]

(I blame Arrested Development for putting the lyrics to this song on my radar. The whole gag is "Huh, who knew the words to that song were so dirty?")

"Pain Killer" Turin Brakes

"You give me so much love that it blows my brains out...

Summer rain, dripping down your face again
Summer rain, praying someone feels the same
Take the pain killer, cycle on your bicycle
Leave all this misery behind."

This whole song is one extended euphemism, actually.

The Who's "Love Reign O'er Me" has always struck me as a song about orgasm as water. Love brings the rain that makes you yearn to the sky/ Love brings the rain that falls like tears from on high"
