My Banjo broke.

I was having a great practice session with [livejournal.com profile] pmaxgentry and our resident jazz bassist...and I was on my way to turn off or on the stereo..and I slipped...and fell...and my banjo neck broke...and I smacked my lip.

Replacing it would cost in between $3k and $6k. So...I got the name and number of a banjo luthier...hopefully it can be repaired.

My baby is hurt.

oh no! thank goodness you have a place where your baby can get better.

if you want, check out the stewart macdonald catalog and you can see all the replacement parts they have available for banjos--not that you should do the work, but to see all the neat stuff they can fix your banjo with.

i had a 1880 guitar with a huuuuge crack in it and a nice luthier fixed it up for me and she plays all nicely again.

i love good luthiers.
