The eye of the storm

Well, we got the lease for the place in Santa Monica. The movers are coming on Thursday. So that leaves me today and tomorrow to pack up and get everything together. oof!
Since I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to put things I own in the common space, or even be in the common space a lot, I'm going to have to figure out what to do about my space issues. My room is smaller than my current apartment, but I'll still have to fit all of my stuff in it. My current thought is getting a loft bed. If I do that, I could put my desk underneath my bed, or my weight bench. I could also put my bookshelf up against the bed. Well, we'll see how all of this organizes itself.
I have a feeling that I'll be living out of boxes for a while until I can get this settled. The temp job I mentioned looks like it might go well, but I won't have my job interview until next week. Grr. I keep calling the extra line, but nothing appropriate is running about.
We arene't going to get cable installed until Sep. 12. I'm sort of sad. I only watch two TV shows, but they will be culminating in finales during the time that I won't have any cable. That makes me sad. Who will be the American Idol? Will Kima survive on The Wire? Will I ever know the answers to those questions?
