Ah ah ah AH ah ah ahhhhh....

So...yesterday I took a voice lesson with one of the new grad students. It was amazing. It was my first voice lesson in four or five years. We just did some vocalese...I'm a bass-baritone! And the lesson was heavenly...it reminded me why I transitioned. She gave me male voice lessons...something I could never get before...I'm so excited about learning to use my new instrument. Yay! And she thinks I've got two octaves in me. My low notes have this exciting richness. Sigh. Really it's good.

At T-rap, we had a bunch of new people. It was cool! We stayed about way too late and now I'm all about doing lots and lots of homework...but that's okay too. I should eat something, shower (or shower then eat something) then be off on doing all of my work. And I've got lots and lots to do--let me tell you!

Goals for today:
* get all of my grading done
* type up my post-conference notes
* Watch the Crying Game, take notes
* Organize all my printouts. Read Crying Game secondary literature that I have.
* Update the Crying Game section of my article.
* Listen to Masculine Women, Feminine Men! Take notes.
* Listen to Chicago and take notes. Read secondary Chicago Lit and rewrite.

* Read some class reading
* Get Library Call numbers for the new books I need. Do Zara Leander search.
* Email Mitchell the biblio or Zarah Leander

Goals for Thursday:

*get to school by 9am. Get library books, Orfeo and Don Giovanni
*TA class. Have office hours (Burn CD's and do class reading)
*After school--prep for section (class reading, listening prep, etc)
*If I have extra time, read all the Gwen Farrar stuff and Chicago stuff and update my paper!

Goals for Friday:
*Teach!
*Prep Game stuff
*More reading of general stuff for article (including Passing Performances) and take notes!
*Game

Goals for Saturday:
*Finish rough draft of this article
*Put together grant app for Monday
*Put together info for new grant (DAAD?)

Well it's official...

She and I are no longer dating. It's sad. But it was mutual, and I think it's for the best. I suspect that we will remain pals. We just aren't so good for each other as romantic partners.

Um...I should start working huh? But I have no clean underwear!
