Tomorrow: Scrubs
Aug. 15th, 2002 09:31 pmWell, I didn't make it into school today, but I did get a lot done around the apartment.
I got all my CD's alphabetized again, and after inserting my new CD's I realize that I need another CD case. I also went through all of the new clothes I got from a transwoman who was getting ridding of her boy clothes. Very sweet--only downside is that the clothes were infested with cat hair and I got all allergic. Sigh. Another positive note, I've lost a bit of weight around my mid-section and I can fit into some of my slacks again. I'm drifting around a 33 waist at the moment. But I can fit into roomy 32's but still like the drape of a 34. I'm thinking just a few pounds more and I'll be back to fit and fighting shape.
Other good news, I got extra work for tomorrow. I'll be a med tech for the show Scrubs...good thing too, I need the money. Though being an extra only pays minimum wage. If everything goes well, it'll be a 12 hour shoot and I'll get overtime. Unfortunately, the voice mail box giving wardrobe didn't include med tech, so I'll bring costume for both paramedic and orderly.
I've got letters to post, and I've GOT to get to school soon. I just found out that there is going to be a loan session on Monday, so I will definately be at school then.
Next week I start apartment hunting...planning on moving in with a buddy of mine from school, G-. Down side: roommate, Upside: apartment big enough for me to be able to host a game again. Games I'm thinking about running: GURPS: WW2 (French Resistance), GURPS: Conspiracy X, GURPS: Transhuman Space, Unknown Armies...though I could be conviced to run GURPS: Reign of Steel as well.
Talked to my ex-girlfriend M- on the phone tonight. Short and sweet. Funny, I ran across her little Powderpuff Girls box that had the playing cards and Gin scores from our summer-long Gin marathons. I miss my best pal. It's hard being separated by so many miles. I don't miss her as a girlfriend, I got over the break-up a while ago (it was mutual and amicable), but I miss her as a pal.
Thrilling Questions for the home audience:
Can I get everything done at shcool that I plan to so I don't have to go back the rest of the week?
Will my Professor be back on Monday and realize I haven't been in in the last two weeks?
Is Kima Greggs dead on The Wire?
What will Nikki McKibbin sing on American Idol?
Will my car continuing to function enough to take me to the set of Scrubs?
Should I work out tonight or get up at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning?
